If algae, plants, animals, or microorganisms accumulate on parts of your FieldKit (especially the probes), we recommend cleaning them with a lightly abrasive sponge or toothbrush and a biodegradable cleaning product. We recommend Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner if it is available to you.

Clean the solar panel with a damp rag periodically to ensure its effectiveness.

We’ve also had success simply using a towel and clean water to remove biofouling. Just be careful not to get in inside of the case (i.e. the circuit boards) wet!
